Pastor Odis Byrd, a cherished figure in the communities he served, was born on March 26, 1939, in Cheneyboro, Texas. He passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of faith and dedication.

Pastor Byrd devoted his life to service as a pastor and a truck driver, embodying the spirit of hard work and community engagement. His pastoral work was marked by compassion and a strong commitment to uplifting those around him. Throughout his ministry, he provided guidance, support, and comfort to countless individuals, helping them navigate their spiritual journeys.

In addition to his pastoral duties, Odis’s work as a truck driver allowed him to connect with people from various walks of life, sharing his kindness and understanding wherever he went. He was known for his unwavering faith and for being a reliable friend and mentor, qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honor of Pastor Odis Byrd’s remarkable life, a Prayer Service will be held on March 10, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM at Living Faith Covenant Church, located at 3403 Shelley Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75211. This will be followed by a Funeral Service on March 11, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at River of Life Church, located at 335 South Parks Drive, DeSoto, TX 75115, concluding at 12:00 PM.
