A devoted preacher, he used his faith to guide him through life’s challenges and to spread positivity to those around him. His love for reading allowed him to continuously expand his knowledge and understanding of the world.
Beyond his spiritual pursuits, James had a fondness for the outdoors. Fishing brought him moments of peace and reflection, while watching track & field events sparked excitement and admiration for the dedication of athletes. His affection for dogs brought companionship and loyalty into his life, creating cherished memories filled with wagging tails and playful moments.

The visitation will be held on June 13, 2024 at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas in Dallas, Texas from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on June 14 at the same location starting at 9:00 AM with the burial following on June 18 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 9:00 AM. May James rest in peace knowing that he touched many hearts with his genuine warmth and infectious spirit.
