Raleigh Wilson Jr, affectionately known as “Junior”, gracefully departed from this world in Dallas, Texas, leaving behind a legacy woven with fond memories and cherished moments. Born in Dallas on December 20th, 1942, Raleigh’s journey through life was marked by his vibrant personality – outgoing, fun-loving, and possessing a free spirit that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

In his professional endeavors at Air Motives, Raleigh served as a stock distribution clerk and dedicated himself to the maintenance of aviation. His skillful hands were not confined to the workplace; he was also celebrated as a handyman extraordinaire, always ready to lend a helping hand with expertise and flair.

Education held a significant place in Raleigh’s heart. A proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School’s Class of 1961, he continued his quest for knowledge at Paul Quinn(Bishop College) College, delving into general studies and enriching his understanding of the world around him.

Raleigh’s passions extended far beyond the confines of work and study. He found joy in simple pleasures – from capturing Easter photos of his young sons at Turtle Creek to savoring meals at IHOP. Soul music held a special resonance in his life, with a collection that spoke volumes about his eclectic tastes and soulful inclinations.

In the tapestry of Raleigh’s existence, family played an integral role. He joins his parents, Raleigh Wilson Sr. and Maedell McClure Wilson, along with brother, Herbert Epps in eternal rest. Raleigh leaves behind a circle of loved ones whose lives were forever touched by his presence.

To cherish his memory, Raleigh is survived by children, Sherry Whitfield (Darryll), Kevin Wilson, Kent Wilson (Tiffany), and Sister, Tommie Eubanks. His legacy further thrives through his grandchildren – LaNique, Nina, Sacha, Kristy, Kayla, Tayler, Hunter, and Carter; great-grandchildren Amira and Ahmad; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will carry forward the essence of his vibrant spirit.

As we bid farewell to Raleigh Wilson Jr in this realm, may we hold dear the echoes of laughter shared and the lessons taught by a man whose zest for life knew no bounds. In each note of soulful music that graces our ears henceforth, may we find a whisper of “Junior’s” enduring presence – a reminder that love transcends earthly confines. Peace be upon you on your onward journey.
