FREDERICK BERNARD THROWER (March 3, 1969 — May 9, 2023)

On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Frederick Bernard Thrower, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 54.

Frederick was born on March 3, 1969, in Fordyce, AR, to Superintendent Clenso and Lady Creenella Thrower.  Frederick grew up in Camden, AR, and joined the US Army, shortly after graduating high school in 1987.  On January 13, 2006, he married Charlonda Mathis Thrower – making Dallas, TX, their home.  Lovingly, they raised 5 sons and 1 daughter. Frederick was an avid music lover and loved to sing.  He was known for his quick wit, his infectious humor, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Frederick was preceded in death by his father, Clenso.  He is survived by his wife, Charlonda, six children, Frederick D. (Whitney) Thrower, Xavier Thrower, Brandon Thrower, Calvin Spencer Jr., La’Trell Thrower, and Catrice Thrower; brother, Patrick (Treasa) Thrower Sr; two children, Patrick Jr. and Sydnee; sister, Nichole Thrower; one child, Trestin; mother, Creenella Thrower; five grandchildren,  Lazaria Thrower, Ziyanah Thrower, Mason Morris, Emaleigh Thrower, Noah Thrower; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral service and celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 19th, 2023, at The Potter’s House of Dallas, 6777 W. Keist Blvd, Dallas, TX 75236 at 10am. Viewing is from 9am – 10am.  A private burial will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the National Cemetery – Dallas, TX.
