Get your boots and hat out because a rodeo is coming to Texas.

Governor Greg Abbott is welcoming the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association to the south from Dec. 3-12, 2020 for the 2020 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

“Western sports have long been part of the Texas brand, and Texas fans will be thrilled to see these competitors back in the saddle after being bucked off by COVID-19,” Abbott said.

The events will be held at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, and it will be the first non-related baseball exhibition.

“We are so pleased to be at this amazing stadium for the most celebrated event on the rodeo calendar,” said George Taylor, chief executive officer of PRCA, in a release.

PRCA is known for quality barrel racers, cowboys and livestock around the world. There is a major event reimbursed program that is made up of $7.1 million that will go to the event in Texas.

“Texas is committed to working alongside our communities to ensure they have the tools needed to spur tourism, and grow jobs and their local economies,” Abbott said.
