Calvin White, Sr. (November 7, 1934 ~ March 6, 2023)

Calvin White

Calvin Lee White was born on November 7, 1934, to Minnie Bell Parker and Albert Lee White. He had one brother John Arthur Massey who also proceeded him in death.  He was baptized at an early age.

On June 26, 1954, he married the late Era Belle Brown in this union 2 children were born: Calvin Lee White Jr. and Cecelia Ann White-Hubbard (Thomas).  In October 1973 Mr. White married Gwendolyn Marie Pleasant, who has preceded him in death. 

Mr. White served in the United States Army from 1952-58.  He worked on the DEW (Distant Early Warning Line) in Fairbanks Alaska.  After the military Mr. White moved to Los Angeles, California where he was employed at PepsiCo. Then he moved to Pomona California where he worked for the City of Pomona Transit, and he stayed there until he retired. In his later years he was known as “Elder” white Sr. at the Greater New Faith Ministries in Pomona, California. In 2020 he moved to Texas and got to spend time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren! 

Calvin White leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Calvin Lee White Jr., and Cecelia Hubbard (Thomas); grandchildren, Darrick White (Fredricka), Tanisha White (Shavaris), and Tiffany Hubbard (Manilla); great grandchildren, Wyntre Flowers (Tyrone), Brenden Lewis, Skylar White, Trinity White, Londyn White, and Cassandra Shelton; great-great grands, Emery Ragster and Ty’mere Flowers, a host of family and friends.
