The Texas Rangers helped 10 nonprofit organizations recently by donating $100,000 in grant money. In a release, the money is for these organizations to get back on their feet after having a challenging time so far this year.

Each nonprofit received $10,000 and was selected based on the impact they are making in the community. Organizations included Mission Arlington, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Make-A-Wish North Texas and Buckner International.

“2020 has been challenging, but in that darkness, there are points of light,” said Karin Morris, Rangers Senior Vice President of Community Impact and Executive Director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

The Texas Rangers also hosted a concert, #TogetherWe Give, where attendees social distanced and national artist Eli Young Band performed.

“The concert allowed us to honor and celebrate the light that the Foundation, and these 10 extraordinary non-profit organizations, bring to our community,” Morris said.
