The Dallas Police Department wants to make the streets safer for Dallas citizens and visitors; stopping all street racing and instituting a curfew are two ways to achieve its goal.

These new rules are in full effect until the end of this month. Areas such as the Farmers Market, Victory Park, Central Business District neighborhoods, Deep Ellum, West End and Uptown were mention as areas of interest “to ensure all residents and business owners are safe.”

Juveniles who are under the age of 17 have to be in the house from 12:01 am to 6 am on Fridays and Saturdays. During the week, the curfew hours are 11 pm to 6 am.

Highlighting that there should be no gatherings of more than 10 people, it was also noted that there will be an increase of DPD officers monitoring these neighborhoods and cameras will be active.
