Dr. Larry Lewis has been named interim superintendent for DeSoto ISD, following a special called meeting. Educated at Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas Woman’s University, Harvard and Texas A&M University; Dr. Lewis has over 35 years of experience having worked in Frisco, Lancaster, Austin ISDs.
In a letter from the district to parents, Dr. Lewis said, “I am honored and thankful to be the interim superintendent, and I appreciate the board of trustees for their confidence in me.”
He is expected to begin serving immediately, pending contract negotiations.
