Vernell Sturns, former assistant Fort Worth city manager and executive director of DFW International Airport, has transitioned, family members announced on Sunday. He was the first African American member of the TCU Board of Trustees and North Texas Chapter co-founder of Southeast Fort Worth, Inc.
