Actress Hayden Panettiere was pronounced dead on August 16 at 2:32 P.M. Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive at an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina, where first responders attempted life support measures before pronouncing her deceased in cardiac arrest. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office noted no initial signs of trauma, and her official cause of death remains pending.

Panettiere began her career in Hollywood at a young age and became a familiar face to television and film viewers worldwide. Her most notable roles included Claire Bennet on Heroes, Juliette Barnes on Nashville, Britney Allen on Bring It On: All or Nothing, and Kirby Reed in the Scream franchise. Outside of her entertainment career, Panettiere was a mother to her daughter, Kaya, shared with former professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
