Mildred Childs, born on June 26, 1950, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. Over the course of her 76 years, Mildred touched countless lives through her warmth, humor, and extraordinary generosity of spirit.

Known for being outgoing and exceptionally funny, Mildred had a knack for brightening any room she entered. Her radiant smile and infectious laughter made her a joy to be around, and she carried a sense of positivity that uplifted all who knew her. Mildred’s love for painting and drawing was both a personal passion and something she loved to share with others, offering glimpses of her creative soul and zest for life.

One of Mildred’s most cherished qualities was her devotion to her family and friends. She never missed an opportunity to make those around her feel celebrated and remembered—calling everyone on their birthday without fail, ensuring that each person in her circle felt valued and loved. Mildred was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Through every stage of life, she embodied kindness and a deep sense of connection, leaving behind a legacy of generosity and care.

To honor and celebrate her remarkable life, a viewing for Mildred Childs will take place on July 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects and share memories during this time. The funeral service will be held at the same location on August 1, 2026, beginning at 3:00 PM.
