It is with deep respect and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Marvin Shane Clayton, a devoted professional contractor, community benefactor, and extraordinary talent, who left this world on June 10, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on December 25, 1937, in Mineola, TX, Marvin lived a life marked by unwavering dedication, hard work, and an unrelenting spirit that inspired all who knew him.

Marvin Clayton’s career was a testament to his commitment to providing comfort and stability to families and his community. As a professional contractor, he built homes that became havens for love and growth. His efforts extended beyond construction sites, as he also served as a manager at Parkwood’s Apartments, where his leadership and management skills ensured a welcoming environment for residents. Remarkably, Marvin also shared his soulful gift as a background singer for the world-famous group Earth, Wind & Fire—a role that added a unique and captivating dimension to his multifaceted professional life.

Known for his resilience and optimism, Marvin was a fighter who never ceased to work tirelessly in support of those he loved. His steadfastness and positive outlook on life remain a beacon of strength and inspiration. Through every challenge and triumph, he remained dedicated to his family and community, embodying the values of perseverance and hope.

The family will honor Marvin’s memory with a viewing held on June 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will follow on June 27, 2026, beginning at 3:00 PM at the same respected venue.

Mr. Marvin Shane Clayton’s legacy is one of hard work, dedication, and a radiant spirit that touched lives far and wide. He will be remembered with great admiration and respect by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
