NCNW-Texas State Coalition to Convene 12th Texas State Unity Conference, Bethune-Height Recognition Program

DALLAS, TX — The National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW) Texas State Coalition will host its 12th Texas State Unity Conference and Bethune-Height Recognition Program, May 28–30, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.

DALLAS, TX — The National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW) Texas State Coalition will host its 12th Texas State Unity Conference and Bethune-Height Recognition Program, May 28–30, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. The Theme, “Honoring the Past, Serving the Present, and Shaping the Future,” the conference will bring together leaders, advocates, and members from across Texas and the nation.

The greatly beloved, dynamic, highly esteemed, and extraordinary leader, Dr. A. Lois Keith, 9th National Chair of the NCNW Board of Directors, will serve as the keynote speaker during the Bethune-Height Recognition Program on Saturday, May 30 of the conference.

A distinguished educator and servant leader, Dr. Keith dedicated 30 years to the Henry County School System as a mathematics educator, department chair, and mentor, earning multiple Teacher of the Year honors.

A longtime advocate for women and children, she has held numerous national leadership roles within NCNW and, in 2022, was elected by acclamation as Chair of the Board. Her work continues to be recognized nationally for advancing education, service, and social justice.

Dr. Mollie A. Johnson Williams, President of the NCNW Texas State Coalition, states “that the 12th Texas State Unity Conference promises to be a transformative experience, bringing together passionate leaders, advocates, and supporters both nationally and across our great state of Texas! The conference is designed to ignite conversations, spur action and create a platform for collaboration and continued growth.

Through enlightening sessions, engaging workshops and meaningful discussions, the conference is open and all are welcome to join us for what promises to be a powerful, transformative, and spirit-filled experience!”

NCNW was founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. The iconic Dr. Dorothy I. Height, served as president of NCNW for more than 40 years and continues to be honored as President Emerita.
