
Julie Johnson presented a ceremonial check to the City of Dallas, recognizing $5.15 million in Community Project Funding for key projects across the city. Secured through the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations process, the funding will support infrastructure, public safety, and park improvements that benefit residents throughout Dallas.
Funded projects include:
Ferguson Road Safety Enhancements – $850,000 (Districts 2, 7, 9)
International District Park Development – $2,000,000 (District 11)
White Rock Lake Trail Relocation – $1,200,000 (District 9)
Hemlock Avenue Safe Streets Enhancements – $850,000 (District 13)
Lakewood Park Pedestrian Bridge & Accessibility Improvements – $250,000 (District 9)
Johnson, who represents Texas’ 32nd Congressional District, shared with Texas Metro News that she has also secured an additional $77 million in future funding for Dallas, signaling continued federal investment in the city’s growth and infrastructure.
