Rev. Milton Cobb, Jr., born on April 2, 1951, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Milton Cobb Sr. and Jennie Jackson Cobb, devoted his life to service, faith, and community. After graduating from Henry Clay High School, he honorably served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1974. His military service instilled in him discipline, perseverance, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Following his honorable discharge, Reverend Cobb embarked on a dedicated 19-year career with the United States Postal Service, where he was recognized as a reliable and hardworking employee. His commitment to his work fostered many meaningful relationships within the community.
A lifelong man of faith, Reverend Cobb pursued his spiritual calling with distinction. He earned his Gospel Ministry Certificate in 1978 and a Certificate of Evangelism in 2001. He was an active and devoted member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF), where he contributed meaningfully to the spiritual life of the congregation.
Reverend Milton Cobb was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Annie Bell Cobb; his parents; brothers Julius, Charles, and George Cobb; sisters Lucille Jackson Pursley, Beulah Cobb, and Anna Cobb; and his beloved children, Samantha Nash and Douglas Nash.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Jerry Nash, Michelle (Lenny) Nash, Frances Nash, Terlisa (Lisa) Cobb, and Milton Cobb III. He was also blessed with nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Reverend Cobb’s survivors include his sisters Bernice Thornton Airede and Mildred McKelvey (Leroy), brothers Nathaniel Cobb and Robert Cobb (Geraldine), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his love, wisdom, and kindness.
Reverend Milton Cobb’s life reflects a legacy of dedication to family, faith, and community, leaving an enduring impact on all who knew him.
