Karen Collins attended the University of North Texas (formerly North Texas State University) and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She then went on to receive a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. A member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, this professional educator loved working with children. Her community Involvement included donating clothes to students at her old high school. She recently celebrated 50 years as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, initiated in 1976 into the Zeta Eta Chapter. Her hobbies include dancing, reading, traveling, and shopping.
