OBIT: MELBA WILSON

Melba Wilson, born on August 7, 1940, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully in her hometown on November 7, 2025, at the age of 85. A beloved member of the Fort Worth community, Melba’s life was characterized by her deep love for her family, her passion for arts and crafts, and her enjoyment of fishing.

Melba cherished family gatherings, which brought her immense joy and allowed her to share her warmth and laughter with those she held dear. Her creativity was reflected in her artistic pursuits, where she expressed herself through various crafts, bringing beauty to the lives of those around her. Melba also found tranquility in the peacefulness of fishing, embracing nature and the moments of reflection it provided.

Her departure leaves a significant void in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her as a spirited and loving individual. As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the memories forged and the love she nurtured.

Friends and family are invited to honor Melba’s memory at the Wake Service, scheduled for November 14, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas, beginning at 6:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow on November 15, 2025, at the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ at 11:00 AM, 2815 Chenault Street, Fort Worth, TX 76111.

Melba Wilson’s legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her, as we carry her spirit forward in our hearts.
