South Dallas Business and Professional Women’s Club increases

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the South Dallas Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc. (SDBPWC) will induct 11 new members, receive one transfer member and one reclaimed member for a total increase of 13 members.
In an effort to continue exceptional membership recruitment, the SDBPWC Membership Committee, led by Director Nakisha Lewis-Williams, held a Denim and Pearls Open House on August 31 to boost recruitment efforts. On October 26, prospective new members attended New Member Orientation and they are now set for installation into SDBPWC.
The 11 new members are: Ivy Ates, Stacie Hall, Regenia Dilworth-Jenkins, Dr. Dreama Sloan-Kelly, Rosalind Kirk, Trushone Paige, Andrea Ragland, Stephanie Richardson, Carylon Strong, Lauren Thornton and Clarissa Wiley. The Honorable Toni Rose will be a transfer member from a former club and Ruthie Mitchell is joining as a reclaimed member.
SDBPWC, Inc. is an affiliate of the South-Central District of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc.
Organized in the fall of 1954, by the late Sarah J. Holbert, it is currently the largest club in the National Association.
President Carmilla (Candy) Bradshaw and local officers operate numerous committees that actively provide stellar programs in the Greater Dallas community. Their mission is to promote and protect the interests of African American business and professional women; to serve as a bridge for young people seeking to enter business and the professions; and to improve the quality of life in the Dallas Metroplex and around the world.
SDBPWC offers its membership unique opportunities to raise scholarships for worthy high school seniors; develop leadership skills with youth ages 12 to 18; annually host breast cancer awareness, healthy heart and women’s history programs; and foster many other initiatives involving leadership, technology and entrepreneurship training in the community.
