OBIT: LEONARD RATCLIFF

Leonard Ratcliff, a dedicated machinist and beloved member of the Dallas community, passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born on July 13, 1958, in Grenada, Mississippi, and later moved to Texas, where he would leave a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Leonard was a proud graduate of Spruce High School, which laid the foundation for his lifelong career in machining. His skill and craftsmanship were evident in every project he undertook, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers. Leonard approached his work with diligence and pride, embodying the values of hard work and commitment.

Family and friends will have the opportunity to celebrate Leonard’s life during a viewing scheduled for November 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX. A funeral service will be held the following day, November 6, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, culminating with a gathering of all those who loved and cherished him.

Leonard’s passing leaves a void in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, resourcefulness, and the kindness he extended towards others. His legacy as a respected machinist and caring individual will continue to inspire many. May he rest in peace.
