Superb Woman: Yara Shahidi

Yara Shahidi was born on February 10, 2000, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She moved to California at age 4, where she attended Immaculate Heart High School and later graduated from Dwight Global Online School in 2017. Yara pursued higher education at Harvard University, earning a degree in Interdisciplinary Sociology and Black American Studies in 2022. Known for her roles in Black-ish and Grown-ish, she is also a passionate activist, co-founding the Eighteen x 18 initiative to encourage youth voter engagement. Yara continues to use her platform to advocate for social justice, education, and civic participation, embodying the power of youth in shaping the future.
