Superb Woman: Tamika Catchings

Born in Stratford, New Jersey, Tamika Catchings grew up with basketball in her blood. She attended Duncanville High School in Texas and pursued her passion at the University of Tennessee, earning a bachelor’s degree in sports management and later a master’s in sports studies. Her legendary career with the Indiana Fever includes four Olympic gold medals, a WNBA championship, and numerous accolades. Post-retirement, Tamika continues to inspire as the Fever’s general manager and owner of Tea’s Me Café in Indianapolis. In 2025, she completed her Executive MBA at the University of Notre Dame, demonstrating her commitment to leadership both on and off the court. Her journey reflects a dedication to excellence, community, and continuous growth. She is also an honorary member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
