The Lady General Foundation To Host Virtual Workshop On How To Get Featured In The Media
March 24, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Lady General Foundation is hosting a virtual workshop on how to obtain features in the media on March 24 at 7 pm CST. “How To ‘ACE’ PR and Get Featured in the Media” is part of the foundation’s Youth Leadership Series dedicated to amplifying the voices of today’s young female leaders while addressing issues that impact their communities and spaces.
This workshop will help equip viewers with the tools to effectively connect with media and get their message, products, and services in front of the right audience.
The workshop will be moderated by the foundation’s director of marketing, Stephenetta (isis) Harmon. Harmon has 20+ years of editorial and digital media experience, including serving as EIC and editor for such publications as Hype Hair and the MN Spokesman-Recorder. She is also the founder of Sadiaa Black Beauty Guide and serves on the foundation’s board of directors.
“As an editor and journalist for multiple publications. I receive hundreds of emails
a day. Most of the businesses and individuals that reach out may have great ideas or products, but they are missing key elements that can get them featured on national platforms,” said Harmon. “This free workshop will explain some of the basics to not just get your emails read, but help get your stories told to a wider audience.”
While geared toward youth leadership, the workshop is open to anyone looking to sharpen their media pitching skills (and ask questions).
“How To ACE PR and Get Featured in the Media” will be streamed live Wed., March 24 at 7 pm CST. Click here to watch on The Lady General Foundation’s Facebook page.
